bisher war ich lediglich passiver mitleser und konnte immer ganz gute Tips hier aus dem Forum für mich nutzen. Nur zu meiner jetzigen Frage konnte ich in der Suche nichts adäquates finden, daher die Frage an euch.
Ich habe folgende Ausgangssituation als 5.0 Anlage:
DENON AVR 2308
Standlautsprecher QUADRAL PLATINUM 820
CANTON Surround set (weiss jetzt nicht genau welche Modelle)
Der nutzen ist ca. 60% Musik und 40% Rest DVD.
Bei Filmen ist mir der Bass ein wenig zu "weich" und daher denke ich schon längere Zeit über einen Sub nach, um den Bass zu verstärken (nur für DVD und nicht für Musik).
Wenn man sich aber im Netz informiert, wird die Kombi "Standlautsprecher+Sub" eher als Nachteilig angesehen, da Überschneidungen im Frequenzbereich um 60/100Hz entstehen können.
Wie sind eure Erfahrungen hierzu? Da ich jetzt auch nicht allzu viel Geld für einen Sub ausgeben wollte, habe ich mir die 2 folgenden ausgesucht:

Macht das Sinn hinsichtlich mehr trockenen Bass bei action Filmen zum Beispiel? Vielen dank schonmal im voraus für Eure Hilfe!

auch ich bin eigentlich eher ein "passiv" Mitglied, doch da ich vor ähnlicher Problematik stand wie du wage ich es mal zu antworten: Ich habe den Yammi RXV 757 in Kombination mit den Canton LE 109 als Front. Bei Explosionen etc. kam mir der Bass immer zu harmlos rüber, ein aufregeln des Bass brachte kein homogenes Klangbild mehr. So habe ich zu Canton AS 40 gegriffen und war erstmal entäuscht. Kaum ein Unterschied zu hören, ein "aufregeln" des Sub brachte nur dröhen und schwammingen Bass. Monatalanges austüfteln mit Standort Sub und Einstellungen haben dann doch zu einer hörbaren Verbesserung geführt. Bei Zimmerlautstärke hört und spürt man den Unterschied nicht so deutlich,da dein Denon noch etwas mehr Power haben dürfte, könnte ich mir vorstellen, dass dies ähnlich sein könnte. Hilft wohl nur ausprobieren, geht doch bei Teufel, oder ?. Ich hoffe ich war eine kleine Hilfestellung.

Meine Frage kommt ja auch nicht von ungefähr, da meine Boxen einen Frequenzgang von 28-24.000Hz untestützen und ich theoretisch davon ausgehe, das mir ein Sub nicht viel bringen wird, was Du ja mir im Prinzip bestätigst.
Allerdings ist in manchen Foren auch zu lesen, das ein sog. "LFE-Kanal" - wo bestimmte Tiefton-Effekte codiert sind - nur von einem entsprechenden Sub. bzw. über den Sub-Ausgang geliefert werden. Und das sollen ja die "berühmte Hosenbeinflatter Töne" sein, die beim Heimkino so interessant sind.
Daher meine Überlegung doch einen Sub zu holen....

Jan 2008, 15:33 das deine lautsprecher frequenzem ab 28 hz oredentlich kann, ist ohne +-XXdb angabe fürn a****. ein normaler sub schafft ab 25hz gute pegel, was ein standlautsprecher bis in die mitttelklasse erst ab 40hz kann, so taugt ein sub gerade bei filmen , da dort viel öfter tieftonfrequenzen angespreochen werden als bei musik. Ausserdem musst du keine Bassüberdickung haben, wenn du die Standls im AVR auf small stellst und die trennfrequenz z.b. auf 60hz, dann übernimmt ab da der sub ALLE töne.

#5 erstellt: 28. Jan 2008, 17:05 Soweit ich informiert bin, kannst du den LFE Kanal auch auch die Frontspeakter stellen, oder sogar Front und SUB.
John Frink muss ich rechtgeben, auch wenn die LE 109 angeblich sogar bis 20hz runtergehen soll, ist das nicht mit der Pegelfestigkeit des AS 40 zu vergleichen. Auch hat er recht, was die Einstellung betrifft, es macht schon Sinn auch Standlautsprecher auf small zu stellen.
Aber bei Zimmerlautstärke kann ich subjektiv dennoch wenig unterschied feststellen (kein Hobenbeinflattern, Druckwelle, fühlbarer Bass). Falls du aber nicht wie ich auf Nachbarn und Frau Rücksicht nehmen musst sieht die sache sicherlich anders aus.

Ich hab einen schwierigen Raum (glatter Boden, glatte Wände) und bei einem "kleinen" Subwoofer Probleme mit stehenden Wellen. Auch wenn der Teufel M11000 vielleicht nicht die angesprochene Preisklasse ist, der macht sich klanglich sehr wohl bemerkbar. Es werden die Frontlautsprecher einfach entlastet, wenn sie nicht den gesamten Bass mitmachen müssen und von einem Subwoofer unterstützt werden. Dabei betrifft es eben nicht nur Filmwiedergabe mit ja teilweise extrem tiefen Soundspuren sondern auch Musik.
Ich habe dabei die JMLab Chorus 916.

#7 erstellt: 29. Jan 2008, 10:55 wenn du deine ls sinnvoll ergänzen möchtest, solltest du dich in einem anderen preissegment umschauen (passend zu deinen front-ls). die genannten woofer sind imho keine klangliche erweiterung, dafür kommen sie nicht tief genug.

Was würde den da in Betracht kommen Deiner Meinung nach?
Macht es keinen Sinn den AV-Receiver so einzustellen, das man zB die berühmten 80Hz als Grenze zieht für die LS und die Frequenzen darunter über einen Teufel-Sub zB laufen lässt? Der sollte doch eigentlich auch bei dem genannten Teufel-Sub mehr "druck" ausüben können als meinen normalen LS? Ich will natürlich "nur für Film" jetzt nicht Unmengen an Geld für einen Sub ausgeben (der A610SW kostet so E325,-- was auch meine Schmerzgrenze ist)
Wie gesagt, mir fehlt die Dynamik lediglich bei Filmen und nicht bei Musik (Stereo)....da bin ich mit dem 2308 und der Kombi mit den Quadral absolut zufrieden.

1. nichts, da das budget in relation zu den ls nicht passt. (das ist als würdest du einem porsche 165er aufziehen).
2. nur weils ne thx-norm ist, muss das für dich zu hause noch lange nicht die optimale lösung sein. da hilft nur ausprobieren.
3. bei dem budget gibts nicht viele alternativen. evtl noch ein canton as 40.
4. das verstehe ich nicht. dynamik ist ausreichend vorhanden und doch fehlt sie dir.

#10 erstellt: 29. Jan 2008, 15:57 Der Canton AS 40 wird eine ideale Lösung für deine Wünsche sein. Außerdem ergänzt er dein Set optisch ebenfalls sehr gut 
. Es gibt ihn inzwischen überall zu sehr günstigen Preisen (so um die 300,-).

Prinzipiell bin ich ja nicht unzufrieden mit der Dynamik der LS, aber bei Filmen und Explosionen z.B habe ich sehr oft den Eindruck das die Explosion irgendwie nicht richtig rüber kommt. Teilweise habe ich auch den Eindruck, das da der Bass "zurück genommen wird" sprich die Dynamik irgendwie zurück gedreht wird....schwierig zu erklären halt. Daher dachte ich an einen Sub, der sollte ja a) dynamischer sein und b) auch die Dynamik halten können.

Ich bin zwar kein begeisterter Canton-Anhänger, aber den AS40 SC würde ich an Deiner Stelle auch mal testen. Er hat ein 30cm-Chassis und liest sich von den Daten nicht schlecht.
Wie gesagt, ein Subwoofer kann auch bei Musik unterstützen, aber das merkst dann ja

Ich denke, ich komme nicht herum mir mal einen Sub zu bestellen und ihn zu Hause mal probe zu hören, ob es überhaupt für mich eine sinnvolle Ergänzung sein kann.
Ich werde in den nächsten Tagen mal den Canton bestellen und darüber berichten....

Jan 2008, 09:49 DIESES modell habe ich in jeder ecke des raumes (also oben und unten) unter und über meinem neuen rundumfernsehgerät installiert. unglaublich welch geschmeidige klangliche eleganz dieses ensemble zu stande bringt. gekrönt wird das ganze noch durch meinen neuartigen, superpräzisen magengrubenkitzler. dieses kleinod der heutigen technik grenzt geradezu an ein wunder, so natürlich und impulsstark, einfach unglaublich. zum zwecke der besseren beschallung konnte ich mich im fachgeschäft von einer doppelten besetzung überzeugen lassen. klick mich ich bin das klangwunder. einfach nur empfehlenswert!
